Off to London so I thought I would share my packing list for a 7-10 day trip as we gear up to travel for the holiday season!
Turn on some tunes (click here for the travel playlist), get your cup of tea ready and let’s get to packing!
Clothes (3-2-1, layer!)
3 Sweaters, 2 Tank Tops, 1 T-Shirt
1 Dress (optional but if you bring one try to make it a solid color so it’s easier to dress up/dress down)
2 Pajamas (I usually bring one pajama and another workout outfit consisting of leggings and a t-shirt)
3 Pairs of Pants (1 pair of blue jeans, 1 pair of black jeans, 1 pair of colored (burgundy or another basic color) pants
Shoes & Accessories
Boots (wear them to save space)
Dressier Shoes (nice pair of heels, wedges or nice flats), Scarf (add a splash of color with a vibrant scarf), Hat, Gloves, Earmuffs (my favorite winter item for sure)
Jewelry (a great way to dress up more casual outfits, consider a festive headband for this holiday season)
Sunglasses & Umbrella (check the weather for both locations!!!)
Small Purse that can go from day to night
ADAPTER (I can’t tell you how many people forget this)
Camera and its charger, Cell phone and its charger (for my take on the best free travel apps click here)
Laptop/iPad and its charger (optional): I’m going to be making travel video logs (vlogs) so I’ll be editing along the way
Toiletries & Undergarments (travel size of course)
Your favorite shampoo, conditioner, body wash (hotels usually have this so this isn’t a must), face cleanser, hair products and if you wear makeup, make sure they are travel size!
Bring a week’s worth of undergarments, a pair of stockings and socks
A good book (my current read is Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling but I’m also bringing my Costa Rica guide book to plan for an upcoming trip)
A journal and couple of pens to document your travels!
Snacks (granola bar or another light snack in case you are stuck in delays)
Stylish yet functional backpack to keep your important items with you at all times
Roll up your shirts and lay your sweaters/pants flat to ensure space for gifts and souvenirs. Pack light because you can always buy things there! Now don’t forget a printed copy of your ticket (just in case), your wallet (with some cash) and your passport. Bon voyage! Safe travels!
